Why We Love It
Many of these frames date from around 1900, into the 1930s. Photography was becoming accessible, recording family portraits and life milestones. A few items to note listed below. Antique frames have beautiful character, however the way photography was framed has evolved in the past 100 years and the sizes may be irregular based on modern standards.

Notes
- If the frames have a maker known, it’s included in the listing. Many of the frames in this collection are from US department stores.
- Some of the glass is quite old. Some very thick and hand cut, meaning there could be chips on the edges, or the glass is convex, with a slight domed, or bubbled, appearance.
- While the design of some frames are really functional and it’s easy to change the photograph, others are a bit more unconventional.
- When measuring, we note the exterior dimensions, and an estimated visible photo size. All these frames are based on antique photography printing, and the sizing is not standard by today’s measurement. A high quality digital reproduction could be sized to fit.
- Most frames are table top, some have a small hook for hanging on the wall and others only hang on the wall. Display options will be noted.
- The finish is left antiqued, and some could be polished, I did choose to have some cleaned minimally, but not remove the antique feel.
All items mentioned above are noted on each listing, please ready carefully before purchasing.
