Returns and Exchanges Policy

While we strive to find new and interesting items that we love and think you will, we understand that you may need to make a return.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original undamaged packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

International returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Customers are responsible for return shipping cost. Refunds are made to the original method of payment or store credit, whichever is preferred, less shipping and handling. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, unless the item received is damaged, defective or incorrect. Returns sent in that arrive with postage due will be returned to sender. Please allow 2 business days, from the date we receive the return, to conduct a quality control review and issue a refund. Once a refund has been issued, you will be notified via email. Please allow 5 – 7 business days for the refund to post back to your account.


TO RETURN AN ITEM WITH A PREPAID LABEL

To start a return, you can contact us at clerk@houseofbrinson.com and include your order number, what you would like to return and the reason for the return. We’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on where to drop off the package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. The cost of the shipping label will be deducted from the return.

 

TO RETURN AN ITEM VIA YOUR PREFERRED CARRIER

If you would like to use your own return shipping method, please obtain a return authorization number from clerk@houseofbrinson.com. Once obtained, pack and return items in original condition, include the provided email confirmation, and send to address provided in the email.

 

EXTENDED HOLIDAY RETURN WINDOW

Orders placed during our holiday period qualify for our extended holiday return window and may be returned within 45 days of delivery. If you have any questions regarding this extended returns window, please email clerk@houseofbrinson.com.

 

ANTIQUES, ARTWORK & SPECIAL ARTIST COLLABORATIONS

All antiques, artwork and special artist collaborations are final sale. Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be changed or modified in any way.  We cannot accept returns on any antiques, artwork and special artist collaborations purchases. Please note condition of antiques before purchasing. All antiques, artwork and special artist collaborations are carefully inspected prior to shipment, but damages do happen, and we ask that you inspect your pieces upon receipt and contact us within 48 hours at clerk@houseofbrinson.com.

 

FINAL SALE & CLEARANCE ITEMS

Please note that final sale and clearance items are not returnable or exchangeable except for manufacturing defects.

 

CUSTOM, MADE-TO-ORDER & SPECIAL QUANTITY ORDERS

All custom, made-to-order, and special quantity orders are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Items made to customer specifications

Items with custom sizing, finishes, or personalized details

Items produced or sourced specifically at the customer’s request

Large-quantity orders of regularly carried items that exceed our normal on-hand inventory and must be ordered, produced, or reserved specifically for the customer

Orders placed in quantities exceeding our normal in-stock levels are considered special orders and are final sale.

Once a custom, made-to-order, or special quantity order has been placed, it cannot be canceled, modified, returned, or exchanged for any reason.

Damaged or Defective Items
Customers are responsible for inspecting their order immediately upon delivery. If an item arrives damaged or defective, notification must be made within 48 hours of receipt by emailing clerk@houseofbrinson.com
 and including the order number along with clear photographic documentation of the issue.

If damage or defect is confirmed, we will offer a refund or replacement at our discretion. Any approved refund will be issued only to the original form of payment. Shipping, handling, and delivery fees are non-refundable.

Additional Information
Refunds are not issued to alternate payment methods. Store credit is not offered for custom or special quantity orders. Variations in color, finish, texture, scale, or natural material characteristics are inherent to handmade and artisan goods and are not considered defects. Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
